Then came Paris. I had been to France and Paris in high school for a trip for the 60th Anniversary of the D-Day landings with a marching band I was in at the time, but this time was for site seeing.
Paris is definitely a MUST in your life, what can I say, The Eiffel tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louve, all of them were amazing to see in real life, especially from an engineering standpoint (NERRRRD!) But you don’t get a feel for how big the Effie tower is until your standing underneath it.
The highlight of Paris for me though, the whole time I was in Europe I thought I’d see people that were really just doppelgangers of people from home, until I was standing at a street corner in front of the tower and ran right into a friend of mine from university, we couldn’t believe it.
Paris was great, but having been there before, the charm and curiosity I had with all the other cities was somewhat lacking, so to make up for it, we doubled up in Amsterdam.
